Emma Smith grew up outside of St. Louis, Missouri riding and training at the age of 4 years old. She began her studies through the local riding stables focusing in Hunter/Jumper, then moving on to colt starting and ranch riding, while independently teaching lessons, at the age of 13 years old. With the approach of Buck Brannaman combined with techniques of George Morris, Walter Zettl, and many other equestrian masters, Emma has extensive knowledge and skill in horsemanship training and show experience with Hunter/Jumper, AQHA/APHA all-round Performance, and Iberian horse Performance. At her own facility in Harlingen, TX, Emma focuses on expanding the proper way to start young horses and growing the Performance disciplines within the Rio Grande Valley.
